What is the difference between FTTC and FTTH fiber?
The main difference is the speed of internet browsing. FTTC VULA is the connection made by fiber optic cables up to the cabinet; the connection to the modem is made directly with a copper cable. The upload speed is up to 20 Mb/s and up to 200 Mb/s in download with a minimum guaranteed bandwidth of 21 Mb/s in download and 2 Mb/s in upload. In FIBRA FTTH connectivity the nominal speed of the line is: for the FIBRA 1000 profile up to 1 Gbps in download and up to 200 Mbps in upload with a minimum guaranteed bandwidth of 100 Mbps in download and 12 Mbps in upload; for the FIBRA 2,5 profile up to 2,5 Gbps in download and up to 500 Mbps in upload with a minimum guaranteed bandwidth of 200 Mbps in download and 50 Mbps in upload. The actual speeds that can be reached will be determined only after the activation of the service and depend on the distance from the cabinet, the degree of network congestion, the use of Wi-Fi and the number and type of devices connected. The OFFICE SMART POWER offer includes the supply of the modem on a free loan. The modem will be delivered and configured by a specialized technician commissioned by WINDTRE. After testing, the customer may choose to use his own modem and in this case he must have a modem compatible with the profile of the offer chosen.
The activation fee of 360 euros can be paid:
 
  • in one lump sum charged on the first invoice
  • 7.5 euros per month for 48 months
  • 180.00 euros at the time of activation of the offer and the remaining portion of 180.00 euros in 24 monthly installments worth 7.5 euros each

In case of early withdrawal from the offer, the customer can choose to keep the payment deferment or pay the remaining installments in one lump sum.
For the Office Smart Power Fiber FTTH and FTTC offer, the monthly cost is €245.

OFFICE SMART POWER
Office Smart Power is a tariff plan provided with a loaner and virtualized IP PBX based on FTTC VULA/FTTH connectivity with 30 lines and a number of extensions varying from 25 to 120 with Standard, Premium or Operator Point features. In case of FTTC (Fiber to the Cabinet) VULA network coverage, the nominal surfing speed is up to 200 Mb/s download and 20 Mb/s upload with guaranteed minimum bandwidth of 21 Mb/s download and 2 Mb/s upload. In FIBRA FTTH connectivity the nominal line speed is: for FIBRA 1000 profile up to 1 Gbps download and up to 200 Mbps upload with guaranteed minimum bandwidth of 100 Mbps download and 12 Mbps upload; for FIBRA 2.5 profile up to 2.5 Gbps download and up to 500 Mbps upload with guaranteed minimum bandwidth of 200 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload. Offer available in FTTH cities and subject to technical and geographical limitations.There is an activation fee of 360 euros for the Office Smart Power tariff plan. The customer can choose either to pay in one lump sum at the time of activation of the offer or to pay in 48 monthly installments worth 7.50 euros each or to pay 180.00 euros at the time of activation of the offer and the remaining portion of 180.00 euros in 24 monthly installments worth 7.5 euros each. Each additional location than the first (Optional MULTISEDE) involves a location activation fee of 60 euros. All costs are billed bimonthly and charged in arrears. All prices are exclusive of VAT.

EXTENSIONS
An extension is defined as a Geographic Fixed Network (CLI) numbering to which a type of extension can be associated from a choice of: Standard (IP Phone), Premium (Internal with mobility and multi device features) and Operator Posto (advanced receptionist workstation). The Premium extension can be associated with a WINDTRE BUSINESS SIM, already active or to be activated on the Customer's VAT number. The Standard extension and the Premium extension have a monthly cost of 6 euros. The Operator extension has a monthly cost of 20 euros. All costs are billed bimonthly and charged in arrears. The calls generated by the individual numbers are unlimited unless the service is used contrary to the criteria of good faith and fairness, for purposes other than personal use or for the performance of massive communication activities in accordance with the General Conditions of Contract relating to WINDTRE BUSINESS telecommunications services. The plans provide unlimited calls to domestic landlines and mobiles and to landlines and mobiles in Area 1 (Alaska, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Guernsey, Hawaii, Ireland, Isle Of Man, Jersey, Luxembourg, Madeira, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, Principality Of Monaco, Spain, United States of America, Sweden, Switzerland). Voice traffic included in the plan does not include special rate calls. The features of Office Smart can be enriched through the availability of certain optional extras.

OPTIONAL MULTI-LOCATION
Shared use from multiple locations of the PBX (Private Numbering Plan, Fax Server, MULTI SELECTION/MULTI SELECTION PREMIUM functionality, company address book, etc.). MY CONFERENCE/MY CONFERENCE LARGE which adds Audio/Video Conferencing, Conference Rooms, Unified Communication and Collaboration features to the Internal Premium (MY CONFERENCE/MY CONFERENCE LARGE service is provided by Zoom Video Communications, Inc. with platforms installed in the USA). MULTI SELECTION/MULTI SELECTION PREMIUM (Interactive Voice Response): Automatic multiple choice voice responder to handle incoming calls by directing them to the most appropriate business function. FAX/POS: Analog ports (max 2) for connecting and using traditional FAX and electronic payment devices (POS). EFAX: FAX Server that adds FAX functionality without the need for dedicated Hardware. CALL DISTRIBUTOR LIGHT (Automatic Call Distribution) for optimized management of incoming calls that allows each call to be handled by the most appropriate group of operators. In combination with the Office Plus and Office Maxi profiles, an IAD (Integrated Access Device) apparatus is provided on loan for use; Wind Tre S.p.A., or a company delegated by it, will make an appointment with the Customer for the installation of the apparatus. However, the configuration of the Customer's local area network (LAN) is excluded, as well as Wi-Fi configurations subsequent to the activation of the Service. It is included, in the service the loan for use, maintenance of the IAD access equipment. It will be possible to manage numbering arcs in GNR (acquired in NP), transforming part of the numbers contained therein into individual CLIs. Any numberings that are part of the GNR and not used will remain available for future expansion at the request of the same Customer. Any requests for Number Portability to another operator of one or part of the numberings that are part of the GNR arc will entail the transfer of the entire GNR arc to the destination operator. It will also be possible to request NP handover of numbers originally stored on ISDN/BRI accesses with the obligation to request the handover of the progenitor of a group of ISDN numbers (in the context of ISDN/BRI access, one among the subscriber numbers of the access is designated as the progenitor as it identifies all the numberings of a group: a maximum of 8 numberings of which the first one that encloses them is called progenitor and the others secondary). The Customer must be able to choose which and how many numberings that are part of the Multinumber of origin to activate with the WINDTRE BUSINESS service. Where the Customer requests the full or partial switch to NP of these numberings to another operator, it will be possible to switch all or some of the numberings to NP.

DEVICES It is possible to purchase IP Phone, Dect Base, Switch and Access Point in installment sale with 24-month term. The devices are shipped to the Customer's premises upon successful installation of the line. A number of IP-Phones/DECT IP Phones less than or equal to the number of subscribed fixed extensions can be purchased. The equipment is offered on an installment sales formula over 24 months, and payment of the relevant fee is expected in installments charged directly in the bill for fixed voice service. The offer is tied to signing an Office Smart contract and maintaining it for 24 months. When activating the Office Smart Offer, the Customer can choose whether, in case of withdrawal, to continue to enjoy the installment plan or to pay the remaining amounts in a lump sum. Promotions are valid while stocks last and only for new activations by December 31, 2023. Contract term 24 months.

EQUIPMENT PROMOTION
The equipment is offered on an installment sales formula over 24 months, and payment of the relevant fee is provided for in installments charged directly in the Office Smart service invoice: there may be an advance payment (charged in the first invoice after service activation), 24 monthly installments, and a final installment (charged at the same time as the last monthly installment). If the Customer is compliant with the contract term and has punctually and fully paid the due installments, he/she will be entitled to a credit in the invoice of an amount equal to that of the final installment. When activating the Office Smart Offer, the Customer may choose, in case of termination, to continue to enjoy the installment plan or to pay the remaining amounts in a lump sum. The Customer has the option to purchase, for each Standard/Premium Extension actually activated, an IP-Phone, Dect Kit, Sound Station among the available models. The devices must be purchased at the same time as signing the Office Smart contract. The Offer is conditional on signing an Office Smart contract and maintaining the Office tariff plan selected when signing the contract (or signing the Office Smart Power tariff plan). WINDTRE BUSINESS reserves the right to replace the indicated model of apparatus, in case of exhaustion of stock, with an apparatus of equivalent value. Refer to the contract proposal and specific contract attachments for all economic conditions and equipment models available at the time the contract is signed. SECURE WEB
SECURE WEB is a service integrated into the WINDTRE network that can prevent the most common cyber threats such as "phishing", "botnet "and "ransomware". Features such as anti-phishing and malware containment will be integrated into the WINDTRE network, without the need for specific hardware or software installation on their devices. The SECURE WEB option is included by default within the fixed telephony services of the OFFICE portfolio at a cost of 5 euros per month for 12 months. There is no activation or deactivation fee. At the end of the 12th month, the service provides automatic renewal, unless you cancel by contacting 1928. SECURE WEB is the cloud-based platform security service that operates at the Domain Name System (DNS) level and provides the first line of defense against threats on the Internet by blocking access requests to malicious destinations before the connection is established. The service verifies the reliability or security of the site you wish to access: if the access request is made to a destination deemed potentially dangerous by the WINDTRE Business SECURE WEB service the customer will be inhibited from accessing to that destination by replacing the requested content with a message (special block page) with an information for the customer of the successful protection action. For any request for access to the blocked page or deactivation of the SECURE WEB service, it is necessary to call 1928. WINDTRE does not guarantee that the SECURE WEB service will provide absolute security and protection from cyber attacks (malware, phising) due to the continuous development of new intrusion and attack technologies towards files, networks, endpoints. WINDTRE does not guarantee that the SECURE WEB cloud service will protect all files, networks, and endpoints from all malware, viruses, and malicious attacks from third parties, but the level and development of the technologies used contribute greatly to reducing the level of exposure to these threats.

INTERNET CONTINUITY
is a solution that increases the reliability of the Internet connection by flanking the fixed line with a secondary connection based on 3G/4G mobile network. The secondary connection comes into operation and automatically shuts down in case of temporary unavailability of fixed connectivity. With Internet Continuity, it is possible to use the Internet even before the activation of ADSL , FTTC up to 200 Mbps and FTTH. The Customer can optionally request, in conjunction with the Office Smart Power product with D Link modem /Aethra, the provision of "Internet Continuity" at the promotional cost of €5 instead of €29 per month (if the data traffic provided by the Internet 30 GIGA tariff plan is carried out in the territorial area of activation of the fixed line), for 24 months which includes: Internet Key D - Link DVM 222 sold for 24 months at a cost of €0/month, data SIM with INTERNET 30 GIGA tariff plan and Installation Guide. In case of internal portability (NP WindTre) it is necessary to assign new IP addresses to replace the previous ones. It will be necessary to reconfigure the new Static IP addresses that will be provided to you by our technician, on the network equipment required to provide the service. In case of internal portability (NP WindTre), the maintenance of all active Vas services (E.g.e-mail or IT net managed websites) is not guaranteed. In case of deactivation of the Sim before 24 months, the amount of 36€ will be charged on the last useful bill. Internet Continuity guarantees the provision of connectivity (no VoIP) in critical situations of the fixed data access infrastructure and is based on the association of an INTERNET KEY USB 3G/4G to a fixed network access modem/router, equipped with a USB port capable of hosting the Internet KEY. In case of use of the offer outside the territorial area of activation of the fixed line or in case of deactivation of the OFFICE PLUS AND MAXI fixed line contract, WINDTRE will proceed to notify the customer of non-compliance with the conditions of use of the offer. In cases of repeated violation of the conditions of the offer, the cost of the offer will increase to 29 euros per month. BABY SITTING Beginning February 2, 2023, all new Office Smart Power customers will receive 30 calendar days of remote BABY SITTING at no additional cost. Thereafter, customers can request an additional 30 calendar days of BABY SITTING at a one-time cost of €55. The extension provides a direct, dedicated contact number to interact with specialist and support teams. OFFICE SMART ON-SITE TRAINING Training service to the Company's staff.Focus on the features of purchased Office Smart functionality.Provides a classroom session with a maximum number of participants (excluding the trainer) of 8 lasting a maximum of 4 hours. All purchased services and how they are managed will be made explicit.

OFFICE SMART BASIC TRAINING - BY REMOTE Training service to the Company's staff. Focus on the features of the Office Smart features purchased. Provides a "remote" classroom session with a maximum number of participants (excluding the trainer) of 5 lasting a maximum of 2 hours. The basic services (password management, private numbering plan (PNP) management, extension management, call groups, additional hold telephones, My Conference) and management modes will be explained.

OFFICE SMART PLUS TRAINING - BY REMOTE Training service to the Company's staff. Focus on the features of the Office Smart features purchased. Provides a "remote" classroom session with a maximum number of participants (excluding the trainer) of 8 lasting up to 4 hours. All purchased services and how they are managed will be made explicit.

From January 2024, in the event of a positive annual change in the national FOI consumer price index recorded by ISTAT in the month of October of the previous year, WINDTRE is entitled to increase within the first quarter of the year the monthly price of the Service by a percentage amount equal to the change in such index or at least 5%. The adjustment does not constitute a contractual amendment within the meaning of Article 2.4 of the General Terms and Conditions and, therefore, does not entitle the Customer to withdraw from the Contract without cost.For further details check the General Terms and Conditions.
