ATAP S.P.A relies on WINDTRE Business for 5G solutions
Services provided include WiFi connectivity for passengers and real-time geolocation of public transportation.
ATAP S.p.a., the public transport company of Pordenone, has chosen WINDTRE Business to provide 5G mobile connectivity and solutions supported by fifth-generation mobile technology.
Thanks to WINDTRE's ultrabroadband network and Easy Wi-Fly service, ATAP can now deploy WiFi on its vehicles with which to offer free connectivity to passengers, as well as enable video surveillance solutions for increased security on board buses.
The collaboration with WINDTRE has also enabled ATAP to activate a dedicated VPN network with which to update geolocation and remote monitoring of public transportation, based on the highest cybersecurity standards. Through this service, ATAP will be able to provide passengers with real-time information regarding the arrival and travel times of vehicles or regarding any issues on the road. The agreement includes the provision of 24/7 prompt and remedial technical assistance to ensure continuity of public service to residents and tourists.
